Planting Flowering Bulbs Rapidly
Flowering Bulbs Favorites
I love flowering bulbs immensely. Some of my favorite plants and flowers are among the flowering bulbs. For instance there is nothing like the joy of seeing the first flowering bulbs poke their heads up starting with the crocuses that sometimes show up while there is still snow on the ground. My other other favorite flowering bulbs are of course daffodils and then tulips. The reason that tulips are among my favorite flowering bulbs goes back to the time that our family lived in Northern Germany near the border to the Netherlands. In the spring as we drove we could see miles and miles of fields that had been planted with flowering bulbs now bursting into all the colors of the rainbow. Of course each field was filled with a single color tulip contrasting with the next field that was a different color. It was such a beautiful sight and sparks sweet memories even as I type these words.
Flowering Bulbs Plan
If you want to recreate in miniature the beauty of those fields filled with flowering bulbs you need to develop a plan many months before you can look across your yard and see that vision fulfilled. It starts in late summer or early fall with choosing the appropriate flowering bulbs. Do you have a specific color that will fit with your property. Remember that the flowering bulbs bloom at different times and choose a color that will fit with the rest of your trees and flowers. Then choose the right height of flowering bulb to accent your home or landscape in a beautiful way. There are software programs that can insert picture of flowering bulbs into the landscape of your property to help you visualize the end effect. Once you have chosen your flowers and ordered or purchased them from a reputable source you need to prepare the ground for inserting these precious bearers of life the flowering bulbs that will go into their cold grave for about six months before they burst into life. Make sure you plant them the distance that will maximize their growth and also not give you the all to frequent picture of a front yard with just a few straggling flowering bulbs seeming to pop up in random places.
